Well, I am finally getting around to finshing up John and Suzannes’ pictures.
They are one of the most fun couples you could know! John never stops teasing, and Suzanne puts up with it..and you’ve just gotta love them!
They are expecting their first baby-a girl-and asked me to do some maternity photos. Woohoo! We went around here in Frankfort, and then I drug them into a field..poor guys! I was so sure they were going to get chiggers.
It ended up..no chiggers, just lots of burrs. But, I think that was worth it for the pictures we got.
Such a little price to pay. ha! Guys, you are great, and we’re so blessed you are at our church and are so thankful to God for this gift of a child He has blessed you with! We cannot wait to meet her..and if she’s as pretty as her mama, they might have trouble on their hands.

Well, here he is..my last senior for the fall! This is Ryan.
Ryan’s family goes to our church, and his dad is one of our pastors. What a blessing this family is to know! They are just precious friends. I was so stoked when they asked me to do Ryan’s senior pictures. We had a long day, but alot of fun. We headed over to his football field first, then we walked all around downtown Frankfort. His mom and little brother joined us, too, and it was great to meet them. I hope you love these pictures as I do…it was very hard to pick my favorites, but here goes…:) ….

Well, we have known the Settle family for 3 years now. They go to our church and are friends of ours. I was so excited when they asked me to do their family pictures. We first met out at their lovely home, and then we went into a nearby small town. They are a great family, and so much fun! So…here are a few of my favorites from our photo shoot!
Love ya guys!

Yes, August 2009! Everyone who got me in August has been very patient! School started, then we went on vacation, then I got sick this past weekend. I’m trying very hard to catch up.
ANYHOW, David and Mandy are dear friends of ours from church, who are actually part of our community (home) group. We have had alot of fun with them, and their photo session was no exception! As you can see, they have 4 beautiful boys, who call me “Ms. Kari” , and they have one more on the way…although you can hardly, if at all, tell in the pictures! It was a fun, crazy whirlwind of a day chasing around these four boys. Wow! I now know how Mandy keeps her figure!
But, they are fun and full of life. And, David and Mandy are great parents, and you can see the love they have for their “blessings.” I took a TON of shots this photo shoot, a lot of candids…it was a joy just to follow them and see what they’d do! I kept laughing when editing these, because you could see from frame to frame how “busy” it was. :) We did these at two separate locations, which allowed us some different options. I hope these pictures are a blessing to you guys. We are so thankful God has brought you to our church family.

Brad and Jacqui decided to skip town and get married out of state on the beach (who can blame them?), but also wanted to do a wedding reception here in Frankfort. Jacqui’s mom had heard of me through a friend, and they chose me to do their wedding reception pictures. It was at the Carter House, which was a new venue for me. What a lovely couple they are, and what a lovely family they have! They were all so gracious to me and very sweet. I enjoyed working with you all so much. Thank you for inviting me into your lives for this special day, and may God’s blessings rest on your marriage.

Well, a few years ago, I got to cover the wedding of Jason and Emily. Emily is a friend, who used to work with my husband for Crossings Ministries. I was so very excited when Jason and Emily had a beautiful baby girl, and even more excited when they said they had to have me to photograph her!
So, I packed up my gear and headed to Louisville for a Lifestyle session. It was a big day, with lots of family there, but we had fun…well, I did anyhow!
Sorry about your pants, Jason…maybe next time we’ll put a diaper on the baby! hee, hee…
Love you guys and I hope you enjoy some of my faves of your lifestyle session!
…her mother had all these lovely scriptures all over her nursery….

Just keepin’ her modest, folks.
I think that’s what her daddy would want.

One thing I remember most about my great-grandma was her hands, so I get ‘grandma hands’ pictures whenever I can.

Umm…hello, gorgeous…and I’m not talking about baby Hannah here.

…hee, hee….

…great-grandma’s piano….

And, daddy’s a military stud, so we had to get some of her with his camo….mmm..this picture is just a nice way to end the post…:)

Okay, so this one just cracks me up! I love it! I love how Mary Beth is calmly in the air, while still holding onto the flower girl on the ground!

hee, hee…I don’t know what that face is all about.

Okay, so doesn’t she just have a sweet “old-fashioned” look to you? I love her!

Checkin’ out the tattoo!

This little boy was so cute! What a personality.

Grandma kept asking why I kept taking pictures of her…here is why, grandma. You’re beautiful!

His bride is getting pummeled by sunflower seeds, but Derek is bravely making sure the cake makes it to the car!

the end.

Getting ready to see each other for the first time in their “fancy duds!”

LOVE how he’s checkin’ her out in this one..:)

Amazing sky with the ray of sunlight…a gift from God to them on their wedding day!

It was a bit warm, but can you beat that sky? And, then look at that great couple!
Thank you, God, for all your gifts!

The wind was just doin’ it’s own thing with her veil!….

…and it was cracking us up!

Mary Beth picked this railroad track herself for their pictures, and specifically this spot on the tracks, because it’s where the two tracks become one…just like they did this day! So cool!

Then we, literally, RAN across the street to the other tracks!

Gorgeous, if I do say so myself!

Well, it’s time for a few posts for Derek and Mary Beth. First one goes up tonight!
I met Derek several years ago, when I was doing pictures for the Josh Martin Band. He was a young, skinny boy with a big head of curly blond hair, who played a mean guitar.
I thought he was just such a cool kid, although very quiet. I met Mary Beth for the first time when Shane and I lived at Cedarmore Camp and there was a live concert there. I just loved her from the moment I met her. These two are the most laid back, gentle people you will meet! They love the Lord, and are actively pursuing serving Him with their lives. They have recently moved here to Frankfort, to help out with our church. We are so blessed to have them with us, and are so blessed that God called them together! I was so excited when they said they had to have me do their pictures! I had so much fun with them! It was a short, simple wedding, but they had their eyes on the goal…to get married to each other! Their church was in an industrial park, so we talked ahead of time, and decided to go with it! So, we had fun doing some new stuff! They were so laid back and sweet, even when things didn’t always go right as planned. Mary Beth had a bit of a surprise ‘trash the dress’ session before the ceremony and handled it like a champ. And, she was still a beautiful bride.
Love you guys. I hope you enjoy looking at these sneak peeks of your pictures. May the Lord bless your marriage and may He be glorified in your lives.

So, about the one below…sorry, I love this picture! I had to include it in my faves!

Mary Beth had her program/fans laid out for all the family and had a hankie for each mom/grandma..I thought that was so sweet.

The brides’ shoes!
I love it!

Mary Beth’s little brother before the wedding…obviously not nervous about his upcoming role!

The tatoo! So cool…”forbear, forgive.” A good reminder for us all.

She’s here!
And, it was so good to see you, Rhonda!
